The Guyana Amazon Warriors have confirmed their squad for the inaugural ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL), which runs from 26 November to 7 December.

Imran Tahir will lead the Amazon Warriors, who captained them to their maiden Caribbean Premier League title in 2023.

Fellow South African Dwaine Pretorious and English all-rounder Moeen Ali will join Tahir.

USA-based left-arm spinner Hassan Khan and Bangladesh seam bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib round out their overseas signings.

The team has a solid Guyanese core, with Romario Shepherd, Shimron Hetmyer, and Keemo Paul all participating in GSL with the Amazon Warriors.

In addition, they have West Indies ODI captain Shai Hope and batting all-rounder Roston Chase in their lineup for the event.

Part of Bangladesh’s tour to the Caribbean clashes with the tournament, and News Room Sport understands this is why Gudakesh Motie and Shamar Joseph are omitted.

Test matches in Antigua and Jamaica start on November 22 and 30, respectively.

The One-Day International series starts on December 8 in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The full Guyana Amazon Warriors squad is as follows: Imran Tahir, Moeen Ali, Shai Hope, Dwaine Pretorius, Hassan Khan, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Kevlon Anderson, Keemo Paul, Mark Deyal, Romario Shepherd, Roston Chase, Shimron Hetmyer, Shamar Springer.
