Essequibo Jaguars vs. Berbice Piranhas
The Essequibo Jaguars showcased their strength, defeating the Berbice Piranhas by 43 runs. Batting first, the Jaguars scored 145 for 8 in 20 overs, with Zeynul Ramsammy top-scoring with 34 runs.
The Piranhas struggled in their chase, managing only 103 all out in 17.3 overs, despite some contributions from their batsmen.
Joemal LaFleur was outstanding with the ball for the Jaguars, taking 3 wickets for just 13 runs, earning him the Man of the Match award.
Demerara Hawks vs. Demerara Pitbulls
In the second match, the Demerara Pitbulls convincingly defeated the Demerara Hawks by seven wickets.
The Hawks batted first, struggling to make 93 for 9 in 20 overs, with Jerimiah Scott scoring the highest at 31 runs.
