As the probes into the abduction of Joshua David and Delon Alexander continue to unfold, Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum Thursday said the intelligence so far does not suggest favourable outcomes.
He, however, told reporters that the Guyana Police Force is diligently working to convert intelligence gathered into evidence to solve the crimes and convict the offenders.
Blanhum spoke at the launch of the Police Force’s Christmas Policing Plan on Thursday. He was questioned about the abduction of Joshua David and ex-cop, Delon Alexander and whether it is believed that the men are still alive.

In response, Blanhum said, “The investigators are working along with some sources and based on the intelligence we are in possession of, which we cannot disclose at this point in time, their intelligence is not suggesting anything favourable.”
Still, Blanhum said the authorities remain hopeful that the men are alive. The presumption of death according to common law is seven years.
