Man found dead at Babu Jaan

The body of a man, identified as Mitchell Benn, was discovered in a canal at Babu Jaan, East Berbice-Corentyne, on Saturday.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear at this time. The News Room, however, understands that Benn left home around 16:30 hrs Friday and had not been seen or heard from since.
Police were alerted to a pickup submerged in a canal at Babu Jaan. Upon their arrival, they found Benn’s body alongside the vehicle.
