ANSA McAL/Lucozade onboard with Petra Organisation’s KFC International Goodwill Series

For the fifth year in a row, ANSA McAL Distribution Inc., via its globally recognised Lucozade brand, has confirmed its alliance with the Petra Organisation as a partner for the upcoming KFC International Goodwill Football Series.

At a simple ceremony at the entity’s main office at Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara, on Wednesday, officials of the Petra Organisation and ANSA McAL spoke on the partnership, which continues to significantly enhance the profile of the tournament.

ANSA McAL has been a long-standing partner of the Goodwill Series and by extension the Petra Organisation, led by directors Troy Mendonca and Marlan Cole.

The significance of that alliance was further underscored on Wednesday morning, following the renewal of support for the upcoming KFC International Goodwill Series.

Mendonca said the support from ANSA McAL will go a far way in making the tournament a success, as it has been over the years.

ANSA McAL’s Business Unit Head (Non-Alcoholic) Triston Freeman commended the organisers for giving local players the opportunity to test their skills against their regional counterparts.

He also expressed the company’s elation to be part of the annual competition.

Set for an exciting kick-off on Sunday, December 15 at the Queen’s College ground in the city, the tournament is set to feature schools from Jamaica, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago facing off with their Guyanese counterparts.

From the local end, Chase Academic Foundation, Dolphin Secondary, D.C. Caesar Fox formerly Waramadong Secondary and Annai Secondary are set to home turf.

The will face stiff competition from reigning champions Clarendon College of Jamaica, St. Benedict’s College of Trinidad, Speyside High School of Tobago and Henry Hassankhan Community High School of Suriname.

Clarendon College played unbeaten to win the Goodwill title in 2023, defeating St. Benedict’s College 2-1 in the final.
