Navin Stoll, the 26-year-old man who was caught on video brutally stabbing his wife, was remanded to prison after being charged with attempted murder.
Navin, a truck driver, was not required to enter a plea when he appeared at the Diamond/Grove Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday before Magistrate Wanda Fortune. He was remanded until January 10, 2025.
Navin was represented by attorney, Ganesh Hira.
In court, it was heard that Navin constantly abused his wife, Claurine Stoll, and as a result she had moved out of their matrimonial home.
On December 4, 2024, Navin attacked Claurine at Kuru Kururu, along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. She remains hospitalised.
