Supenaam Allstars and Royal Challengers have been crowned the male and female champions of the inaugural Region Two One Guyana Unity Cup seven-a-side Football Tournament, which recently concluded at the Charity Community Ground.
In the male final, Supenaam Allstars secured their victory with a 2-0 win against 7Stars.
Brandon Solomon opened the scoring in the 12th minute, followed by Andron Fernandes, who sealed the win with a second goal in the 27th minute.
Supenaam Allstars took home a $300,000 cash prize along with a trophy, while 7Stars received $100,000 as the runners-up.
Royal Challengers showcased their dominance on the female side by defeating Pomeroon Ballerz with a 5-0 scoreline.
National U-15 forward Veronica Chatta was the star of the match, netting all five goals in a remarkable display of skill, scoring in the 2nd, 4th, 8th, 12th, and 14th minutes.
Royal Challengers won a $50,000 champions’ prize, while Pomeroon Ballerz earned $25,000 as runners-up.
