Guyana’s pensioners will start receiving the $100,000 cash grant from Monday (December 30) and the distribution exercise will continue all week.

A notice from the Ministry of Finance states that pensioners who registered for the cash grant at National Insurance Scheme (NIS) offices throughout the country will get their grants.

The grants will be distributed at NIS offices in Regions Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, and 10. The addresses are listed in the graphic below

Importantly, there is no need to rush as those pensioners unable to collect their grants by Friday, January 3, 2025 will be able to uplift their grants in their villages when alternative arrangements are made subsequently.

Pensioners are reminded to walk with a valid form of identification (the one they used to register for the grant with) when going to uplift the grant.

Additional registration will commence in January 2025 for those pensioners who were previously unable to sign up for the grant.
