Bennie ‘Charles’ Adams, a farmer of Campbelltown, Region Eight (Potaro -Siparuni), was charged on Thursday after evading law enforcement for over a decade.
Police Headquarters reported that Bennie was arrested on Sunday and charged on Thursday.
Bennie was charged with the May 2013 murder of Gilbert Adams, a farmer of the Manawarin Village, Region One. The wanted man managed to evade law enforcement since then.
He appeared at the Acquero Magistrate’s Court in Region One, North West District before the Magistrate Mr R. Mohabir via Zoom. He was charged with murder and was not required to plea; Adams was then remanded to prison.
The case was put down to March 3, 2025 for statements.
