City Councillor stabbed to death at D’Urban Backlands

Kyle Anthony Solomon, a Georgetown Councillor, was fatally stabbed during a confrontation at D’Urban Backlands, Georgetown on Wednesday morning.
The News Room understands that Solomon was stabbed during a confrontation with his alleged attacker/s.
According to reports thus far, Solomon shop was broken into by thieves. Upon learning this, Solomon confronted the thieves. They ended up in a fight and soon after, one of the thieves stabbed Solomon.
Police were alerted and they are currently at the scene conducting an investigation.
The suspects managed to escape.
Solomon represented the APNU political party on the City Council.
