Guyana Harpy Eagles will look to maintain their winning streak when they face Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) in the second round of the West Indies Four-Day Championship, starting today (February 5) at the National Stadium, Providence.
Coming off a dominant ten-wicket victory over Barbados Pride, the Harpy Eagles are further strengthened by the return of captain Tevin Imlach, fast bowler Shamar Joseph, and all-rounder Kevin Sinclair.
All three players missed the first round – Imlach was in Pakistan, while Joseph was recovering from injury, and Sinclair was on West Indies duty with Imlach.
On the eve of the match, Imlach expressed the team’s confidence, emphasizing the importance of staying focused and building momentum as they aim to defend their title.
He also confirmed a change in his batting position, moving down the order.

The return of the West Indies players provides a boost for Guyana, but with a new West Indies red-ball setup on the horizon, individual performances will be closely scrutinised.
Joseph’s return to competitive cricket is particularly noteworthy.
Having missed the two Tests in Pakistan due to a shin splint injury, this will be his first Regional Four-Day match since April 2023.
Despite his recent success in Test cricket, including a 5-33 haul against South Africa in August 2024, Joseph will be eager to prove his fitness and form.
His availability for future matches remains uncertain due to his commitments with Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League, which begins on March 21.
The Harpy Eagles lead the points table with 23.2 points after their win over Barbados. In contrast, CCC sits at the bottom with just 0.4 points following a heavy defeat to Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.
The match is scheduled to start at 10:00h.
