ENet, Guyana’s only 5G network, is launching SWITCHED, a campaign designed to help customers prepare for the upcoming introduction of Number Portability in Guyana. This initiative reinforces ENet’s commitment to providing consumers with more choice, flexibility, and a simple way to switch their telecommunications services.

Starting February 10, 2025, number portability will allow mobile and fixed-line customers in Guyana to switch service providers while keeping their existing phone numbers. This change, announced by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), is a major step forward for the local telecoms industry, creating more competition and giving consumers greater control over their services.

ENet’s SWITCHED campaign ensures that customers who want to explore new options can transition easily. Over the coming weeks, customers can look forward to special offers and incentives that make switching even more rewarding.

Vishok Persaud, CEO of ENet, expressed his enthusiasm about this industry milestone:

“Number portability is a game-changer for Guyanese consumers, giving them the freedom to choose the best provider without losing their number. This is made possible by the Government’s commitment to the full liberalization of the telecommunications sector, ensuring greater competition and better value for Guyanese. Now, providers will have to prioritize customer experience and satisfaction to build long-term brand loyalty. ENet is excited to make the transition easy for anyone looking to switch to a network that delivers better service and greater value.”

Customers who switch to ENet will benefit from:

  • Reliable Connectivity – powered by Guyana’s only 5G network.
  • Affordable Plans – A variety of options designed to meet different needs and budgets.
  • Customer-first support focused on satisfaction and innovation

To switch to ENet while keeping your current number, customers can visit any ENet store and request number porting. A valid form of identification is required. Mobile number porting is typically completed within one business day, while fixed-line porting takes up to five business days.

ENet remains committed to to giving Guyanese consumers more options and better service. SWITCHED marks the start of an exciting new era in local telecommunications.
