Watched on by a fair-sized crowd, the eighth annual fund-raising activity received significant corporate backing from Premium Beverages Guyana via its Blue Waters Non-Alcoholic Malt.

    A major success

President of the Lusignan Sports Club Sydartha Anandjit said the event was a major success for the club after the weather had threatened to play spoilsport in the lead-up.

“We had an excellent turnout. Usually when we have events at the Lusignan Sports Club we get good support from the fans,” Anandjit pointed out.

“This is a significant tournament because it gives players not just from these four areas an opportunity to showcase their skills, but also players from beyond these communities.”

With lighting towers and lights recently installed at the ground, Anandjit added that funds raised from Ram Slam 2025 will go towards further upgrades to the facility to bring it on par with International Cricket Council’s practice venue standards.
