    Two brothers, Antwan Embrack, 22, and Stephen Embrack, 20, both of Graham Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara, who were caught on camera assaulting two Policemen, appeared in court on Wednesday and were slapped with several charges stemming from the incident.

    The duo was jointly charged with assault causing actual bodily harm committed on Lebert Allicock and Elton Graham; they were also charged with damage to property.

    The incident occurred on Camp Street Georgetown on Monday.

    Both suspects appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate (ag) Ms. Faith McGusty, who read the charges to them.

    The brothers pleaded not guilty and were granted bail of $60,000 each. The matter has been adjourned to April 16, 2025 for trial.

    Additionally, Stephen Embrack was charged with malicious damage to property committed on the property of the Guyana Police Force. He pleaded not guilty to this offence and was granted $50,000 bail. The matter was also adjourned until April 16, 2025.
