On Saturday, March 08, 2025, the Rotaract Club of Georgetown Central executed Project InspireHer- a community driven initiative designed to empower young, disadvantaged single mothers in Bartica, Region 7.

The project was executed on International Women’s Day with the aim to create lasting positive impact on the participants’ lives, foster resilience and encourage self-reliance through the provision of care packages and interactive training sessions (facilitated by Blossom Inc.).

The distribution of care packages, which included essential items for both infant and maternal care provided mothers with self-care items that promote their physical and mental health, which ultimately enhances their ability to care for themselves and their children. Additionally, the inclusion of basic infant care items ensured that mothers have access to the necessities required for their infants’ health, making these provisions crucial for both maternal and child well-being.

Notably, the interactive training session aimed to empower the participants through education on three key topics: sexual reproductive health, financial literacy and life skills. By providing valuable information and resources, the session enhanced awareness of healthy practices and available services, empowering mothers to make informed decisions that leads to improved maternal and child health.
