Jagdeo condemns all forms of violence, including political violence

General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), Bharrat Jagdeo, Thursday condemned all forms of violence, emphasising that peaceful protest and freedom of speech should be respected and maintained.

Addressing reporters during a press briefing at his party’s Freedom House, Georgetown office, Jagdeo stated, “We condemn violence in all its forms – political violence or any form of violence. There should be no violence in the way we conduct our business.”

He added: “People are free to talk what they want, they are free to protest, but there must be no violence.”
