YBG ‘scores’ timely donation of 40 basketballs

Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) has received significant assistance with a donation of 40 high-quality basketballs, thanks to the collective effort spearheaded by Phillip Lewis and a host of generous supporters.

The timely donation, which includes contributions from Lester and Leona Cummings, John Yates, Brian Fox, Royce Doorn, Ms. Rossan, Lourdeth Ferguson, Ken Shulthers, Rashleigh Bruce, Denise Leitch, O’Neil Sandy, Wayne King, and Lugard Mohan, comes as YBG tips off its crucial Regional Conference Tournament.

This influx of basketballs ensures that every participating school is equipped with at least one ball, directly bolstering their development and participation in the tournament.

YBG expressed gratitude to Lewis for his leadership and to all the donors, particularly highlighting the “Masters” (former players) who rallied behind the cause.

“We appreciate the Masters for rallying behind this cause; we look forward to continued collaboration,” YBG stated.

“Thank you to all the donors for believing in our mission and investing in the growth of our student-athletes and youth development through sport,” YBG added. This donation significantly strengthens YBG’s ability to foster youth development and promote basketball across the region.
