Golden Jaguars end World Cup Qualifier campaign with 3-0 win over Montserrat

Guyana’s Golden Jaguars ended their 2026 World Cup Qualifying campaign with a 3-0 success over Montserrat in Group D action at the National Track and Field Centre on Tuesday night.

First half goals from Nathan Ferguson (35′) and Osaze De Rosario (38′) and a second half strike from the prolific Omari Glasgow (72′) sealed the deal for Guyana.

Despite the win, the Jaguars will not advance to the next round of World Cup qualification, as they finished third in the group. Only the top two teams- Panama and Nicaragua- will advance.

Guyana had two victories- against Belize (3-1) and Montserrat (3-0)- and lost to Panama (0-2) and Nicaragua (0-1) in the second round of qualification.
