PPP will fight against ‘racist propaganda’ in Reg. 10 and across country – Jagdeo

General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo Thursday said the party is serious about uniting the country, and it will fight against racist propaganda spewed anywhere.

Jagdeo said the PPP is focused on providing opportunities to all people, from employment ventures to scholarships.

“We want all of our people to progress… We have plans for that future, and we know what we are about,” he said.

Jagdeo spoke at his weekly press conference on Thursday, raising concerns about racist propaganda he heard following his recent visit to Region 10.

“We have been very clear that this is something we will fight against. The people in Linden are turned off by this vile propaganda,” Jagdeo said on Thursday.

For months, Jagdeo has been complaining of attempts to undermine his party’s attempts at unifying people. He opined that the APNU AFC opposition is seemingly focused on race-based politics.
