Crushing 140-run defeat for Guyana to start Regional U-19 tournament
Guyana suffered a massive 140-run defeat at the hands of Barbados to start the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19, 50-over competition in St. Kitts and Nevis on Thursday.
Playing at the Elquemedo Willet Park in Nevis, the Guyanese were dismissed for 147 in 31.3 overs after Barbados posted a commanding 287-6 from the allotted 50 overs.
In the other first round matches, Trinidad and Tobago defeated USA Two by one wicket, Windward Islands edged Leeward Islands by five runs, and USA One prevailed over Jamaica by 13 runs.
