No Prime Ministerial candidate yet – WIN announcement could come tonight

With just over 24 hours before Guyanese cast their ballots, the We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) party, led by U.S.-sanctioned businessman Azruddin Mohamed, remains without a prime ministerial candidate, a glaring omission that underscores the party’s disorganised campaign.

Despite months of rallies and promises, WIN has put forward only Mohamed as its presidential candidate, offering voters little sense of what a governing team would look like under his leadership.

On Saturday, WIN’s General Secretary, Odessa Primus, told the News Room that the long-delayed prime ministerial pick will be revealed tonight at the party’s final rally at the Marriott beachfront in Georgetown.

She offered no hint as to who the candidate might be, though speculation has centered on Primus herself and Tabitha Sarabo-Halley, a former APNU+AFC parliamentarian. The last-minute decision only adds to questions about WIN’s readiness to contest Monday’s election.
