The People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) has maintained its strong support in Region Two (Pomeroom-Supenaam), according to the results from the 2025 General and Regional elections.

Based on the official declaration (general results) published by the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) and seen by the News Room, the governing party won the region with 17,418 votes.

This is a slight decline from the 18,785 votes in the 2020 general and regional elections, but a signal that the party’s support in the region remains strong.

The results from the region add to the stunning defeat of the PNC-led A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) in the elections. The region’s results show APNU mustered 1,835 votes. APNU secured 7,340 votes in 2020.

However, the newly-formed We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) secured 7,400 votes, clinching just over 5,000 more votes than APNU. The Forward Guyana Movement (FGM) got 147 votes, and the Alliance For Change (AFC) secured 91 votes.
