    Top Under-13 cricketers from across Guyana will assemble from this weekend to compete in the Guyana Cricket Board’s Inter-County 40-over competition, set to bowl off on September 27.

    The tournament will feature budding cricketers from the three counties- Berbice, Demerara and Essequibo- along with a Guyana Cricket Board Select XI.

    President of the Guyana Cricket Board Bissoondyal Singh said the tournament continues to be a vital part of the youth development pathway in Guyana.

    “We are excited to see the next generation of talent on display in this tournament. These young players have the chance to learn, grow and showcase their ability as they aspire to higher levels of the game,” he noted.

    TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE (All matches start at 10:00h) 

    Round One (September 27)

    • Berbice vs Demerara at LBI
    • GCB Select XI vs Essequibo at Lusignan

    Round Two (September 28)

    • Demerara vs Essequibo at LBI
    • Berbice vs GCB Select XI at Lusignan

    Round Three (September 30)

    • Demerara vs GCB Select XI at Lusignan
    • Berbice vs Essequibo at LBI

    The date and venue for the final are to be confirmed.
