Construction worker, 40, stabbed to death, two in custody

Police are probing the murder of 40-year-old construction worker Gladwin Daniels of Lot 31 Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara, who was fatally stabbed early Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 00:30 hrs at Goed Fortuin, reportedly at the hands of two suspects.

According to investigators, Daniels was at a birthday party in the Goed Fortuin squatting area consuming alcohol when two men called out to him from the roadway. He went to meet them, and an argument broke out. During the confrontation, one of the suspects allegedly stabbed him in the neck. Daniels collapsed and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later arrested the two suspects, who are now in custody at the La Grange Police Station as investigations continue.
