Slingerz Football Club partners with Edge Sports Management to boost digital brand

National champions Slingerz Football Club have announced a strategic partnership with Edge Sports Management (ESM), the consultancy founded by Guyanese Olympian and two-time table tennis international Chelsea Edghill, in a bid to elevate their brand visibility and professional footprint.

The move aims to modernise the club’s digital operations, increase player visibility, and strengthen fan engagement ahead of the crucial Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Year-End tournament.

ESM, launched only last year, specialises in sports consulting, digital branding, and athlete management, and its partnership with Slingerz FC marks a significant expansion of its portfolio.

Rawle Toney, Slingerz FC’s Vice President overseeing Marketing, Communication, and Sponsorship, described the collaboration as both strategic and timely. He emphasised the necessity of a stronger professional image in modern football.

“Edge Sports Management will bring structure to the club’s presence on social media,” Toney explained. “We are taking a deliberate approach in bringing more visibility to our players and to our brand as a whole. This partnership is a major part of that effort.”

Toney added that the goal is to build deeper connections with the club’s community, ensuring that the brand aligns with their competitive ambitions.

“Edge Sports Management will bring the players closer to fans and sponsors, starting from the Year-End tournament. That level of connection is vital in modern football,” he noted.

Edghill, an accomplished Olympian who has become a strong advocate for athlete professionalism, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her consultancy.

She added that aligning with a club of Slingerz FC’s stature and working with some of Guyana’s best footballing talents reflects the professionalism and high standards the club has become known for, both on and off the field.

The agreement with ESM complements Slingerz FC’s existing sponsorship relationship with AdNation Guyana, a custom sign and visual solutions company focused on enhancing the club’s physical advertising and branding initiatives.
