Driver dies after swerving from cows on East Coast Railway Embankment
A 32-year-old female driver died on Sunday night after she swerved from a herd of cows and lost control of the motorcar she was driving. Dead is Mathana Cambridge of Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
After losing control, Cambridge collided with a concrete light pole on the southern parapet and ended up in a nearby trench.
Police Headquarters, in a statement, said the accident occurred at about 21:00hrs along the Greenfield, Railway Embankment, ECD.
A 27-year-old female teacher, also from Ann’s Grove was injured the accident. Police said she sustained minor injuries and remains under observation.
Investigations are continuing.
