Jamal ‘Skinny’ Bourne probe: Forensic analysis for human remains found
Investigators probing the reported death of wanted man Jamal “Skinny” Bourne have secured what they believe are his remains in Linden, Region Ten. Those remains will now be the subject of forensic analyses.
Police Headquarters, on Thursday, confirmed that the recovery of the remains followed an operation at Three Miles, Wisroc Housing Scheme, Wismar, on Wednesday.
“During the operation, a burnt area was examined and suspected burnt human remains, including ashes and bones, were discovered and secured for forensic analysis,” Police said.
During the operation, a nearby wooden structure was searched and a suspected pistol with an empty magazine, three shotgun cartridges, a suspected spent 9mm shell, knives, clothing and other items were found. Three toy rifles were also found in nearby bushes.
Six persons were arrested during the operation. They remain in custody and are assisting with the investigation.
The News Room was previously informed that the suspects reportedly indicated that after Bourne fatally shot himself, they took his body into nearby bushes and burnt it. The remains were later removed from the area and dumped into a creek. The man shot himself in a video that has since gone viral.

One of the female suspects in custody, the News Room was told, reportedly indicated to the Police that she was washing bedsheets at a nearby creek when she heard the sound of what appeared to be a gunshot. She claimed that upon returning to the house, she saw Bourne lying motionless; he was surrounded by others, whom she alleged was involved in burning his body.
Another suspect told investigators that Bourne had expressed fear for his life days before the incident and had instructed him to record a live Facebook video.
The suspect claimed that after the video started, Bourne shot himself and also confirmed what the female suspect said about how the body was disposed.
