    Three juveniles and an 18-year-old have been charged for assaulting a young man at the Windsor Forest Park, West Coast Demerara Sunday last.

    The 18-year-old has been identified as Shaquan Straker of Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo. The three juveniles are also Region Three residents.

    The four persons were charged with the offence of Attempt to Commit a Misdemeanor, namely Common Assault, contrary to Sections 35 and 43 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.

    Additionally, one of the juveniles and Straker were jointly charged with Attempt to Commit a Felony, namely Robbery with Aggravation, contrary to Sections 36 and 222(b) of the said Act.

    On Friday, the four persons appeared at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh, where the charges were read to them. They all pleaded not guilty and were granted bail in the sum of $100,000 each.

    The matter was postponed to Wednesday March 18, 2026.
