Minister of Housing, Collin Croal is urging persons who have been allocated house lots to take ownership of their lands and begin the process of construction as the government accelerates the signing of Agreements of Sale and the processing of Certificates of Title.

“We want you to take ownership and commence the process of construction,” Croal said recently.

Currently, the Ministry is engaged in a massive exercise to fast track the signing of Agreements of Sale and processing of Certificates of Title. In fact, by the end of April, thousands of persons will be able to sign for their Agreements of Sale and begin processing for their Certificates of Title in eight new housing areas.

Those areas are: Number 75 Village, Number 76 Village, Lusignan Phase One, Lusignan Phase Two, Good Hope Phase Two, Vriesland, Laurentia Caterina and Leonora West.

“These exercises are to fast-track the signing of Agreements of Sale and also fast-track the process for persons to receive their Certificates of Title,” Croal said.

In Lusignan Phase Two, more than 250 persons have already been called to participate.

Signing is also continuing for residents in the Number 75 and Number 76 Villages, where persons can visit the regional housing office to complete the process.

Croal noted that the exercise has already started in Lusignan Phase One, with a second batch of allottees expected to sign on March 14.

Meanwhile, Good Hope Phase Two began last week and will continue on March 12 with persons from the eastern section of the development.

And in the coming weeks, additional areas including Vriesland, La Renitencia/Caterina and Leonora West will also be added to the schedule.

Croal emphasised that persons who have been allocated land must take steps to identify their lots and begin building.

To facilitate this, he noted that the Ministry Survey department remains available to assist persons who may need help locating their land or require additional information about their allocations.
