A 31-year-old Linden resident lost his life tragically on Wednesday morning after he was involved in a head-on collision along the Loo Creek Public Road, Linden/Soesdyke Highway.

Dead is Keiron Warner of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

The accident occurred at about 06:30hrs and involved motor car, PZZ 934, driven by warner.

He allegedly collided head-on with motor lorry, GXX 3002, driven by 50-year-old Emmanuel Newton Mitchel, also a resident of Linden.

The News Room was told that Police enquiries revealed that the lorry driver alleged he was heading north along the western lane of Loo Creek Public Road when Warner, who was travelling south along the eastern lane at a fast rate, suddenly swerved in a south-western direction, colliding head-on with his vehicle.

As a result of the collision, Warner was pinned inside his car and sustained severe injuries.

The Ambulance Service was summoned and arrived shortly after with a team of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), who examined Warner and pronounced him dead at the scene.

A breathalyser test conducted on the lorry driver showed no trace of alcohol in his system.

He was placed in Police custody and is assisting with the investigation.
