Yadram continues fine form for Everest/ACS in NYMCL

Bhaskar Yadram continued his outstanding run of form in the New York Metropolitan Cricket League (NYMCL), producing another explosive all-round performance to lead Everest/ACS to a four-wicket victory over Villagers Sports Club in the 40-over competition.
Fresh off his belligerent unbeaten 177 against Amazon Jaguars the previous weekend, the 26-year-old Guyanese all-rounder once again dominated the opposition, blasting a rapid 80 from just 34 deliveries to power his team to victory.
Chasing 226 for victory, Everest/ACS made light work of the target, reaching 227-6 in just 27.3 overs. At the heart of the successful pursuit was Yadram, whose breathtaking knock featured nine towering sixes and four boundaries as he dismantled the Villagers bowling attack.
The platform for victory was established by openers Keeran Krishna and Amarnauth Persaud, who shared an 88-run opening partnership in 13.2 overs. Krishna struck a fluent 61 from 50 balls, decorated with nine fours and a six, while Persaud contributed 31 from 36 deliveries, including three fours and two sixes.
After the opening pair laid a solid foundation, Yadram took centre stage with a trademark display of power-hitting, accelerating the scoring and placing the opposition bowlers under relentless pressure. He received valuable support from Kwame Patton Jr., who blasted 31 from just 15 balls, striking three sixes and two fours.
For Villagers Sports Club, Raj Nannan, Steven Shankar and Saif Samaroo claimed two wickets each, but were unable to prevent Everest/ACS from racing to victory with more than 12 overs to spare.
Earlier, Villagers Sports Club were bowled out for 225 in 33.4 overs after a series of aggressive contributions throughout their innings. Former Guyana national player Gajanand Singh led the scoring with 48 from 47 balls, an innings that included four fours and three sixes.
Sankar provided late fireworks with a blistering 36 from just 19 deliveries, clearing the ropes five times, while Norris Teen struck 34 from 17 balls, hitting two fours and four sixes. Nanan also chipped in with a valuable 32 from 21 balls, which featured four boundaries and a six.
Everest/ACS’s bowlers shared the workload effectively, with Sachin Singh leading the attack with figures of 3-38. Keith Edie, Keon Lake and Yadram each supported well with two wickets apiece as Villagers were dismissed before completing their allotted overs.
