Caribbean Airlines launches daily non-stop flights between Toronto and Guyana

Travellers between Guyana and Canada will soon have more options, as Caribbean Airlines has announced the introduction of daily non-stop flights between Georgetown and Toronto starting July 1, 2026.
The airline said the expanded service comes in response to growing travel demand between the two countries, driven by business, tourism, family visits and education-related travel. The daily flights are expected to provide greater flexibility for passengers while strengthening economic and social ties between Guyana and Canada.
Caribbean Airlines Chief Executive Officer Ag. Varma Khillawan described Guyana as one of the airline’s fastest-growing and most important markets, noting that the new schedule reflects the carrier’s commitment to meeting increasing demand and improving connectivity between Guyana and North America.
The airline said the enhanced service will also support Guyana’s continued economic growth and make it easier for members of the Guyanese diaspora living in Canada to travel home. Caribbean Airlines added that it remains focused on expanding reliable connections across the Caribbean, North America and South America.
Under the new schedule, Flight BW616 will depart Georgetown for Toronto daily at 9:20 a.m., while Flight BW617 will leave Toronto for Georgetown daily at 4:50 p.m.
Passengers can book flights through the Caribbean Airlines website, mobile app, reservations centre, ticket offices and travel agents.
