Three men remanded for murder at Honey Camp Landing

Three men have been remanded to prison after being charged with the murder of Robert Noble, known as “Curry,” whose death occurred at Honey Camp Landing in the Middle Mazaruni River earlier this month.
Charged are Raymond Corroll, called “Kunga Joe,” a 64-year-old businessman of Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden; Tyrone Phillips, called “Wormey,” a 63-year-old gold miner of Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara; and Rafeek Shan Austin, called “Shan,” a 34-year-old gold miner of Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden.
The charge was laid in connection with the alleged murder of Noble on June 9, 2026.
The trio appeared before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, June 16, where the indictable charge of murder was read to them.
They were not required to enter a plea and were remanded to prison.
The matter was adjourned until July 31, 2026, when proceedings are expected to continue.
Police had launched an investigation following Noble’s death at Honey Camp Landing, and the probe subsequently led to the arrest and charging of the three accused men.
