Sport Ministers laud exponential growth of Lotto/Let’s Bet One Guyana T10 Tapeball

In what has rapidly evolved from a grassroots weekend pastime into a marquee fixture on the Caribbean cricket calendar, the Lotto/Let’s Bet One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast launched its fourth edition with the structural ambition that completely redefines domestic cricket.
With the Guyana Lottery Company coming on board as the new title sponsor, this year’s tournament boasts an expansive field of 80 teams from across the country, all vying for a slice of an unprecedented prize pool.
The tournament’s meteoric rise was the central theme at a star-studded launch, graced by key government dignitaries and sports administrators who have watched the competition evolve from its humble, raw beginnings into a highly organised national spectacle.
“When we first conceptualised this tournament, we started with strong wording and a bold vision, but to see how it has grown into something truly fantastic is nothing short of remarkable,” said Charles Ramson Jr., Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport.

Speaking at the launch, Guyana Lottery Company General Manager, Kalima Ali, expressed the corporation’s immense pride in aligning with a tournament that so authentically captures the heartbeat of Guyanese cricket.

Registration forms can be accessed via the tournament’s official social media handles or by contacting the organisers directly on WhatsApp at +592 635-2235.
The tournament caravan officially commences with the Berbice Zone on August 8–9 across four premier venues—including the historic Port Mourant Community Centre Ground, the No. 69 Ground, and the Welfare Ground in Canje—before concluding with the zonal finals at the Albion Sports Complex on August 9.
In a historic first for the competition, the national grand finale on October 11, 2026, will be hosted at the Anna Regina National Stadium in Region Two, bringing the absolute pinnacle of Guyanese tapeball cricket directly to the passionate fans of Essequibo.
