Two arrested after CANU seizes firearms, ammunition
Two men were arrested on Tuesday after officers from the Custom Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) conducted an operation at Castello Housing Scheme, West La Penitence, Georgetown.
In a release, the unit said the suspects were searched during which a black .38 Special Smith & Wesson revolver with one live matching round, and one black 9mm Baikal Makarov pistol were discovered.
The two suspects were handed over to ranks of the Guyana Police Force along with the firearms and ammunition for further investigations.
