Linden man found dead at Moblissa

Police are investigating the death of 42-year-old Andries Allicock, whose body was found on Saturday morning at Chiney Road West, Moblissa, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

Allicock was a resident of Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

Police said preliminary investigations revealed that a resident was walking along Chiney Road West, Moblissa, when he observed the body of a man lying motionless in the area. The matter was reported to the Police. Ranks visited the scene, where the body was examined and injuries were observed.

The body was removed and escorted to the Linden Hospital Complex, where it was pronounced dead by a doctor. The body was thereafter escorted to G-Jetsco Funeral Home, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Several persons have reportedly been contacted and questioned as investigations continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Investigations are ongoing.
