‘Satan’ remanded in AK-47 rifles probe


A 34-year-old labourer from Parika, East Bank Essequibo, has been remanded to prison after being charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into the alleged possession of ten AK-47 rifles without a licence.
Ryan Singh, also known as “Satan,” was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, contrary to Section 33 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
The charge stems from an investigation into the alleged unlawful possession of ten AK-47 rifles at East Coast Berbice.
Singh appeared before Magistrate Alisha George at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, where the charge was read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence. Bail was refused, and he was remanded to prison.
The case has been adjourned to July 10, 2026.
