Six months later: Two remanded for Charlotte Street murder


Two men have been remanded to prison after being charged with the December 2025 murder of Levi Williams, also known as “Vamperous.”
Edgar Lawson, called “Baby,” a 33-year-old businessman of Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara, and Keiran Barrett, called “Bucko,” a 50-year-old vendor of East La Penitence, Georgetown, were jointly charged with murder on Tuesday. The duo appeared separately before Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where the indictable charge was read to them. They were not required to enter a plea. Bail was refused, and both were remanded to prison.
The charge relates to the murder of Williams, which allegedly occurred between December 23 and December 25, 2025, at Charlotte Street, Georgetown..
The matter has been adjourned to July 29, 2026, for further proceedings.
