Policewoman dies after sudden collapse

Police Sergeant Stacy Noble died on Friday after she reportedly collapsed suddenly at a house in Diamond, East Bank Demerara.

According to a police release, Noble, a 51-year-old member of the Guyana Police Force attached to the Special Constabulary, died around 06:15hrs.

Preliminary investigations revealed that she was at the residence when she suddenly collapsed. Emergency Medical Technicians responded and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation; however, their efforts were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead by a doctor.

Police visited the scene, and no marks of violence were observed on the body.

“At this stage, no foul play is suspected,” police said.

The body was escorted to Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it awaits a post-mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
