Guyana sweeps Boys and Girls Doubles at Junior CASA 2026

Defending overall champions Guyana made a massive statement in the Doubles competition at the 2026 Junior Caribbean Squash Championships in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, capturing two gold medals and a bronze to heavily boost their title defence campaign.

Fresh off a stellar singles showing where the Guyanese contingent scooped up seven individual medals (three gold, three silver, and one bronze), the momentum carried right over to the doubles courts.

The powerhouse pairing of Kaylee Lowe and Emily Fung-A-Fat secured the Girls’ Doubles title.

They faced off against the Jamaican duo of Mehar Trehan and Elle Wils and rallied to take a spectacular 11-6, 9-11, 11-9 victory, standing atop the podium.

Shiloh Asregado and Egan Bulkan matched that golden energy in the Boys’ Doubles category.

The Guyanese duo put on a clinical performance to dismantle Trinidad and Tobago’s Ross D’Juran and Matteo Felician in straight games, locking in the gold medal with an 11-8, 11-9 win.

Guyana also picked up silverware in the Mixed Doubles, where Ethan Bulkan and Malia Maikoo walked away with a bronze medal.

The pair put up a fierce fight but ultimately fell in a tough semifinal battle against Cayman Islands’ Charlie Makin and Milanna Lamontagne (11-9, 4-11, 3-11).

With doubles results directly counting toward the overall championship point standings, these podium finishes place Guyana in a prime position as the tournament transitions into the highly anticipated Team format.
