Over 10,000 Region Three housing allocations to be addressed over next two years – Croal

More than 10,000 housing allocations in Region Three will be addressed over the next two years, as the Ministry of Housing continues efforts to provide house lots to applicants who remain in the system.
Minister of Housing Collin Croal, on Tuesday, said the allocations will target persons who have already applied for housing but have not yet had the opportunity to receive a lot.
“We are committed…over the next two years to be able to satisfy over 10,000 allocations. These are people who are in the system, and they have not had the opportunity to be allocated. That is yet to come,” Croal said while speaking at the launch of the Ministry’s new foundation initiative on Tuesday.
The announcement comes as the government continues its housing drive, which has seen the development of new housing schemes, infrastructure works, and the distribution of house lots across the country.
In Region Three, like many other regions, the Ministry has been expanding housing opportunities through the opening of new residential areas and the upgrading of existing communities, as demand for affordable housing continues to grow.
