Three men arrested after shots fired at woman’s La Penitence residence 

Three men were arrested after shots were fired at a woman’s La Penitence, Georgetown house early Tuesday morning.

In a release, Police Headquarters said the incident occurred at about 00:25 hrs. Preliminary investigations revealed that two suspects arrived at the location on a motorcycle and stopped in front of the victim’s residence. The pillion rider reportedly dismounted, entered the yard, and discharged several rounds beneath the house.

The suspect subsequently rejoined the rider, and then they escaped on the motorcycle in an eastern direction.

Acting on information received, Police arrested two males, ages 23 and 25, at South Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

Further investigations led the ranks to ‘B’ Field, Sophia, where a motorcycle suspected of having been used during the incident was recovered. A third suspect, a 27-year-old male, was also arrested.

The suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
