Earlier this week, ENet officially welcomed interns participating in the 2026 ENet Queen’s College Internship Programme, commencing eight weeks of hands-on learning, mentorship, and professional development.

Launched earlier this year through a partnership between ENet and the Queen’s College Board, the programme was established to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional workplace by providing Fifth and Sixth Form graduates with early exposure to careers in Guyana’s growing digital sector.

Throughout the programme, interns will be immersed in ENet’s day-to-day operations, working on real-world projects across key areas of the company, including Software Development, Network Design, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Marketing and Content Creation, and Customer Experience.

Speaking on the start of the programme, Vishok Persaud, Chief Executive Officer of ENet, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to developing the next generation of Guyanese professionals. “Guyana’s future depends on investing in local talent. This internship programme gives students the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom while building the confidence, technical skills, and professional mindset needed to succeed in today’s workforce.”

Recognizing that career interests often evolve through experience, interns will also have the opportunity to rotate between departments during the programme, allowing them to broaden their understanding of the company’s operations and explore different career paths.

“Many of the students came into the interview process with an idea of what they wanted to do, but sometimes you don’t know what you’re passionate about until you’re exposed to it. By giving interns the opportunity to work with different teams, we hope to help them make more informed decisions about their future careers”, said Tandi Rampersaud, Business Development Coordinator, Special Projects at ENet.

The ENet Queen’s College Internship Programme forms part of ENet’s ongoing commitment to supporting education, youth development, and the growth of Guyana’s digital economy by investing in the next generation of professionals.
