The Association of Chinese Enterprises in Guyana extends its heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the tragic MV Barima maritime accident.
We are deepen saddened by this national tragedy and stand in solidarity with all those who have been affected. Our thoughts remain with the injured as they recover, and with the families who continue to wait anxiously for news of their loves ones. We remain hopeful that those who are still unaccounted for will be safely located as search and rescue operations continue.
We express our sincere appreciation to the Government of Guyana, the Guyana Defence Force Coast Guard, emergency response agencies, healthcare professionals, volunteers, fisherfolk, private vessels, and every individual who has contributed to the ongoing rescue and recovery efforts. Their dedication, courage, and compassion during this difficult time reflect the strength and unity of the Guyanese people.
At moments such as these, we are reminded of the importance of coming together as a nation to support one another with empathy, resilience and hope.
