Guyanese footballer Malcolm Hendricks embarks on Panama and Brazil training stint

KFC Goodwill Tournament 2025 MVP Malcolm Hendricks has embarked on an extensive high-performance training programme in Panama and Brazil.

Having recently completed his academic exams in June, the highly rated youngster is now turning his full attention to his footballing development, beginning the first phase of a tailored project arranged by The Brazil Link Ltd.

The initiative has been designed as both a high-intensity training camp and a cultural exchange, aimed at accelerating the young athlete’s progression.

Hendricks will spend the initial 10 days of his journey in Panama, utilising the Universidade Latina de Panama Edge Facility and Ciudad Del Saber.

During this period, he is scheduled to train and test himself in exhibition matches against academy opposition from Panama, Brazil, and Trinidad and Tobago.

The second phase of his development programme will see the talent travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

There, he will be joined by two Trinidadian prospects at the Academia de Futebol Real Brasil, where they will train and play under the close guidance of head coach Cesar Augusto.

The move represents a significant opportunity for the Guyanese athlete, who is reported to be in incredibly high spirits ahead of the challenge. His family have thrown their full backing behind the endeavour and are eagerly anticipating his progress across Central and South America over the coming weeks.
