Table Tennis prodigy Jasmine Billingy through to CAC Games

Guyana’s rising table tennis sensation Jasmine Billingy has punched her ticket to the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games after securing qualification through the ITTF Americas pathway.

The national junior girls’ and women’s champion—a multi-titled Caribbean winner and student at St Stanislaus College—is set to feature across three disciplines in Santo Domingo, competing in the women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.

Billingy joins a transitioning Guyanese squad heading to the Dominican Republic for the regional showpiece, which runs from 24 July to 8 August, with table tennis action taking centre stage from 2–8 August.

She will team up alongside two-time Olympian Chelsea Edghill, while the men’s line-up features Shemar Britton, Elishaba Johnson, Niran Bissu, and Malachi Moore, who steps in for Jonathan Van Lange following the latter’s withdrawal due to prior commitments.

The Guyana Table Tennis Association praised the young star’s consistent performances on both the national and international stages as she prepares to test herself against the region’s elite.
