Delhi Daredevils young batting line-up produced a major upset, as they defeated defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets to come off the floor of the points table.

Chasing 186, Daredevils won with five balls to spare, thanks mainly to Corey Anderson’s cameo of 41 not out off 24 balls. The New Zealand left-hander struck three sixes to seal the win, as Daredevils’ top order fired.

Karun Nair made 39, Rishabh Pant 34 and Shreyas Iyer 33, while Sanju Samson played his part with 24 at the top. Earlier, Sunrisers also got solid contributions from the top order, posting 185-3.

Yuvraj Singh led the way with a fine 70 not out off 41 balls, while David Warner made 30 and Shikhar Dhawan 28. With the win, Daredevils move into sixth position with five games to play, while Sunrisers remain in third spot, but Rising Pune Supergiant have a chance to leapfrog them if they can beat Kolkata Knight Riders tomorrow.
