A 40 – year old driver of Kuru Kururu, East Bank Demerara (EBD) was nabbed with several parcels of compressed cannabis on Monday evening.
Police said ranks of a mobile patrol, acting on information received, intercepted a hire car on the Friendship Public Road, EBD around 18:20hrs when they made the discovery.
According to a police statement, the ranks conducted a search of the vehicle and that of the driver – the lone occupant. Four taped parcels of compressed cannabis with a weight of five pounds were found in a box on the backseat of the vehicle, police said.
The driver is being processed for court.
