Police are investigating an incident, where a 26-year-old female was shot in the left foot at Agricola, East Bank Demerara.
A police report noted that the incident occurred at about 21:00hrs on Saturday night, when two males, both armed with handguns, had an argument and discharged founds at each other.
Police said that the woman was in the vicinity when she was shot; she is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital in a stable condition. The police release did not state whether the two men have been arrested.
