A 43-year-old man is now dead after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and crashed into a lamp post at Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Dead is Salim Deen of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
According to information from the police, Deen was travelling to Georgetown at a fast rate when his vehicle collided with the lamp post in the vicinity of the Providence National Stadium.
News Room understands that the motorcar, PGG 2276, toppled several times before it turned turtle; the man was flung out of the vehicle during the incident.
He suffered severe head injuries with brain matters strewn on the road surface.
Police have launched an investigation.
